چکیده
In 5G ultradense heterogeneous networks, wireless backhaul, as one of the important base station (BS) resources that affect user services, has attracted more and attention. However, a would access to BS which is nearest for based on conventional association scheme, constrains network performance improvement due limited backhaul capacity. this paper, using backhaul-aware semiclosed expressions metrics are derived in including coverage probability, rate coverage, delay. Specifically, all possible links within connectable range BSs anchor stations (A-BSs) considered minimize analytical results outage probability. The occurs only when link or forms combination with optimal failure. Furthermore, theoretical analysis numerical evaluate impact fraction A-BSs BS-to-user density ratio metric seek reasonable deployment practical scenario. simulation show probability scheme improved significantly by about 2× compared constrained.

Backhaul-Aware Decoupled Uplink and Downlink User Association, Subcarrier Allocation, and Power Control in FiWi HetNets
Decoupling the uplink and downlink user association improves the throughput of heterogeneous networks (HetNets) and balances the traffic load of macro- and small- base stations. Recently, fiber-wireless HetNets (FiWi-HetNets) have been considered as viable solutions for access networks. To improve the accuracy of user association and resource allocation algorithms in FiWi-HetNets, the capacity ...

The need for efficient use of network resources is continuously increasing with the grow of traffic demand, however, current mobile systems have been planned and deployed so far with the mere aim of enhancing radio coverage and capacity. Unfortunately, this approach is not sustainable anymore, as 5G communication systems will have to cope with huge amounts of traffic, heterogeneous in terms of ...

In recent years, mobile access networks operating at millimeter wavelengths have received a great deal of attention, as they promise previously unattainably high mobile data rates. At these frequencies, mobile access links are expected to use highly directional beamforming antennas, which are also well suited to backhaul links. Therefore, access points can efficiently act as self-backhauled rel...

متن کاملLoad & backhaul aware decoupled downlink/uplink access in 5G systems
Until the 4 Generation (4G) cellular 3GPP systems, a user equipment’s (UE) cell association has been based on the downlink received power from the strongest base station. Recent work has shown that – with an increasing degree of heterogeneity in emerging 5G systems – such an approach is dramatically suboptimal, advocating for an independent association of the downlink and uplink where the downl...
